COMPENG 2DX3 - Microprocessor Systems Project

About this Course

This Computer Engineering course builds upon the other Level II courses and tasks students to complete a project in groups of two. The project involves programming a microprocessor to spin a stepper motor and a time of flight sensor attached to it. This allows the device to create a 3D map of a room. Core concepts taught in this course include coding in Assembly and C, using communications protocols like IC2 and serial as well as working with ARM devices. This course involved involved labs, lectures, milestone checkpoints and tutorials.

Project Details

For this project, teams were required to use the Texas Instruments MSP432E401Y Launchpad board. This board was programmed and flashed using the Keil Software Suite. The full device specification can be found below:
